A2C A2C is a 2-man montage improv team, using each scene as a springboard into the next. Andre and Chris have been doing stand up, improv, and sketch comedy together for over a year, and recently formed this improv duo.	The Beavers The Beavers are an all-female improv comedy group based in Norfolk, Virginia. These fiercely funny women light up the stage with big energy, bold choices, and plenty of unhinged scenes. Get ready to have a dam good time with these babes!	Bianchi & Byland Bianchi & Byland are more than a duo. They are a force of nature begging to be reckoned with. Hair, energy, character work, never before seen movie creation before your very eyes.
Chatty Yeti Chatty Yeti builds worlds from an item that fits in a suitcase, taking you on a tour with plenty of left turns.	The Complaint Department The Complaint Department centers on a business that solves problems for the audience, then demonstrates the ideas they generate to resolve the issue. The format is similar to a Spokane, with cutaways from a central monoscene to explore tangents. Beth Hailey and Jay Frank are consistent players, with 1-3 "interns" as rotating cast members.	Cooking with Gas We cook on the stage with gas, we bring the heat!
Diabolical Fishbank Diabolical Fishbank comprises longtime friends Greg Phillips and Brian Dukes. One's an immigrant, and the other an ardent defender of the Oxford comma. Together, they perform a relationship-driven monoscene that hopes to be as hilarious as it is endearing. Greg has appeared on television in his underwear, while Brian is most proud of losing horribly at the World Rock, Paper, Scissors Championship in Toronto, in 2005.	Festival Favorites A 2-woman improv team that transforms the audience suggestion of their favorite song & a bustling location into a fully-improvised world populated entirely by Roxi Jara & Laurel George. After building the 2 main characters, they cue the song & the audience witnesses the character’s memories through a brief moment of dance/silent movement. Their shows are funny, surprising & rich with characters! Roxi and Laurel have been together since 2022 performing around Richmond & in Raleigh.	Harpoon! Harpoon! is Steven Saltsman and Tommy Spears--two friends who met studying improv and sketch at the Second City Training Center and iO in Chicago a whole decade ago! The duo loved collaborating so much they decided to make it official. With deep dives into weird and fantastic characters, the two make relationship based improv and talk about Cole Porter.
Homemade Dynamite Bob Beshere & John Chenoweth make up Homemade Dynamite, a longform improv duo based out of The Idiot Box Comedy Club, in Greensboro, NC. With a unique format & a focus on character & world-building, Bob & John bring over 30 years of combined improv experience & a bottomless well of popular culture knowledge to their longform improv performances. They’ve performed at the North Carolina Comedy Festival, the Athens Improv Festival, as well as multiple performances at the New South Comedy Festival.	Killy Wonka Killy Wonka has been performing a modified slacker for a little over a year, spinning out of the national holidays celebrated on an audience member’s birthday. We’re young, dumb, and full of fun!	Knievel Knievel is a highly energetic team that improvises without fear & at neck-break speeds! Made-up of players with over 25 years experience from Second City, UCB, iO, Groundlings & more. Straight out of the port city of Wilmington, NC and the longest running House Team from DareDevil Improv, having been together going on 7 years!
Live Short & Die The red shirts in Star Trek are known to be the crew members that die. Live Short and Die follows an all “red shirt” crew as they go about their day and meet their demise.	Man Candy Three sweeties perform the stickiest Living Room set this side of the Smokies! ManCandy has been performing this set since 2016, with its current group doing it live since 2022.	Mango! Mango! Traveling from exotic Durham, North Carolina, this team is as fresh as their namesake. They are ready to "kick back and goof around" for your enjoyment.
Mettlesome TourCo The Mettlesome TourCo consists of teachers and performers from the award-winning Mettlesome Theater in Durham, NC. Mettlesome produces weekly improv and sketch comedy. Come check out Durham's best!	Mmm Hmm Mmm Hmm is a gay improv duo that explores the microcosm of the human experience. We focus on character development and their respective realities. We started performing together in 2016, but started Mmm Hmm in early 2023. We share a love of improv and feel honored to perform it together.	Nerd Lenz ComedyWorx is proud to have some of the best comedic minds in Raleigh, NC take to the stage in one of our four House Teams. Each team is as unique as the audience suggestions!
Newport High Society Before television or radio there was The Parlor. A gathering spot for individuals to discuss the news of the day. This team travels back to the era of Robber Barons and the invention of the light bulb to see how 1890's High Society really behaved.	Newt Work Comedy Newt Work Comedy is a narrative improv team from Raleigh, North Carolina. They've performed improv and sketch in New York City, Chicago, San Francisco, Washington DC, Baltimore and much more. Contagiously funny, Newt Work's style of improv features a completely unpredictable story, out of this world characters and twist and turns galore. You don't want to miss this!	Now are the Foxes Now Are the Foxes is a collective of very experienced improvisors, which one of our audience members called, "The most amazing, kind, and talented improv team I’ve ever seen. Ever.", and another posted, "I have 4 tickets I can't use. DM me if you want them"
Organic Panic ComedyWorx is proud to have some of the best comedic minds in Raleigh, NC take to the stage in one of our four House Teams. Each team is as unique as the audience suggestions!	Pandemic! at the Disco Pandemic! @ the Disco is an award-winning musical duo out of Omaha, NE (3x Omaha Entertainment & Arts Awards Outstanding Comedic Ensemble) who have been performing since 2019. They perform the original "Hero's Journey" form. The audience makes suggestions to create the hero (musical director Robyn Helwig) who is assisted & impeded on their journey by Matt Johnson, who plays Every Other Character in the World. As audiences rave on Yelp: "one star-this wasn't improv, this was clearly planned."	Play Cousinz The Play Cousinz are a BIPOC-centered improv crew from Charlotte, NC, serving up big laughs, real stories and joyful community - where everyone feels like family. The form - a variation of the living that we call Grandma’s couch. We would like festival goers to know they can feel comfortable being around their cousins.
Plot Holes Plot Holes is a narrative improv team that creates an unforgettable story on the fly. Based on an audience suggestion, Plot Holes weaves a cohesive story with no discussion ahead of time, no plan - just eccentric characters and inevitable plot holes. Fall into a story no one saw coming!	Popcorn POPCORN is what happens when the three smartest people in all of Raleigh, as voted on by a panel of other very smart people, come together to create hilarious, nefarious, and EXPLOSIVE improv scenes. It's also what happens when you fry up corn kernels in some hot butter. Which will it be? See for yourself. NEW IN 2026! Popcorn: THE COLLEGE YEARS!	RAT PEOPLE Rat People is the Saturday night house team at ComedyWorx. Rat People is in its terrible two's, bringing a dastardly mix of mayhem, babygirls, and good dumb fun. They have a tag out monologue-style opening, followed by structured scenework focused on relationships and world-building. Some of them have dump trucks. They won't say who. Either way, they do our own stunts. Join their dumpster fire of emotion.
She/They/Gay Step aside, cishet men - it's OUR turn to take center stage! The talented femme, non-binary, and LGBTQ+ members of our troupe take stories from our cast and audience and spin them into comedic gold, creating unpredictable and hilarious scenes that explore identity, life, and the beauty of queer experiences.	The Short Straw Founded at Durham's Mettlesome theater, this team puts its own unique spin on the classic improv form The Harold. We're a team so tight that nothing can tear us apart, even after two season of performing! Stepkids The Stepkids are a longform improv team from Virginia Commonwealth University. They specialize in a stacked narrative format where every scene offers a distinct point of view, all inspired by a single catalytic event. Through bold characters, emotional specificity, and interconnected storytelling, The Stepkids explore how one moment can ripple through many lives.	Tonight or Never Tonight or Never is a group of friends who have been performing together in some form or fashion for over 20 years. We are currently performing a version of the Dinner For Six form created by Jason Chin. We’ve been described as “well seasoned”, “experienced”, and “wise”. We’re not calling ourselves old, we’re just saying, if you don’t catch us tonight, you might never catch us!
