Refunds for classes/camps/workshops

ComedyWorx will fully refund any registration for a class, camp, and/or workshop when the class, camp, and/or workshop is canceled by ComedyWorx or if ComedyWorx makes a change to the dates that prevents a previously registered person from attending. If a person registered for a class, camp, and/or workshop requests a refund for reasons other than changes made by ComedyWorx, ComedyWorx will refund the registration amount minus incurred credit card processing fees (2.9% + $0.30 of every transaction). In either situation, if the registration is for a recurring class, camp, and/or workshop, the person may transfer their registration to a future session without any cost or fees.

If a person registered for a class does not attend the first two sessions and does not contact the instructor, ComedyWorx will automatically refund the registration fee minus incurred credit card processing fees. Once a camp or workshop begins, there are no refunds for not attending or leaving early.

If a person registered for a class attends the first and/or second class session and then needs to drop the class, the person will receive a pro-rated refund minus incurred credit card processing fees. There will be no refunds for people needing to drop a class after the third session. Partial class attendance "credits" cannot be transferred to a future class session.

House Rules for Classes/Participation

All registrants for classes and workshops, as well as all participants in any Improv Jams or other events that may include audience participation, are required to follow the rules below.

  • Improv is based around the concept of "yes, and" - which requires a respectful and supportive environment to learn and succeed at. We expect everyone will be respectful and supportive of the others in classes, workshops, or other events. In a nutshell - don't be a jerk.

  • We expect that you will respect the health and well-being of ComedyWorx club members and other members of the public. Proof of vaccination is not required; however, if you are sick - at all, in any way - we expect that you will stay home and not attend that session or workshop. If you attend a class, workshop, or other event and are suspected of being sick, you may be asked to leave and will not be refunded.

  • You are responsible for the words that come out of your mouth and how they are received. We do not tolerate the "-isms" in our classes, workshops, or other events. Racism, sexism, ageism, ableism, antisemitism, and bias toward groups like members of the LGBTQ+ community is not tolerated. If your words or behavior reflect these biases, you may be asked to leave and will not receive a refund.
