GUEST MONOLOGIST: Darryl Ellis
This April 13th, let's come together to celebrate the gift of life and honor the heroes who make it possible. We're proud to partner with HonorBridge, North Carolina's foremost organ donation and tissue recovery organization, for an evening dedicated to spreading awareness and making a difference through improv and storytelling.Â
Did you know that nearly 100,000 individuals across the nation are eagerly awaiting lifesaving organ transplants? Millions more are in need of tissue transplants. This April, during National Donate Life Month, we shine a spotlight on the critical importance of registering as an organ, eye, and tissue donor.
Meet our April storyteller: Darryl Ellis, a true testament to the power of organ donation. As a double organ transplant recipient, Darryl's journey from battling organ failure to embracing life after transplant is nothing short of inspiring. His story reminds us of the hope and second chances that organ donation brings. Originally from Shelby, NC, Darryl's life took him on extraordinary paths, from serving in the U.S. Navy to finding his calling aboard cruise ships. Now, he dedicates his days to advocating for organ donation awareness, volunteering with organizations like Donate Life NC, LifeShare Carolinas, and HonorBridge. Darryl's mission is clear: to spread the word about the importance of organ donation and to bring smiles to faces every single day.Â
Don't miss out on this unforgettable event! Join us for an evening of laughter, inspiration, and making a difference.
