Capital City Culture Club

A one-of-a-kind show that combines storytelling with improv. We invite local celebrities to tell true stories about their lives, careers, families, and so much more. Then our cast takes details from those stories as inspiration for scenes. It’s the perfect combination of truth, heart, and a little mischief.

GUEST MONOLOGIST: Trish Fox

Trish Fox is a medical auditor for a local hospital. She’s had a long career in patient care - including working as a Nurse Navigator, a passionate mental health advocate, and former OR nurse. She’s a longtime fan of David Sedaris, and is a self-described “nomadic helper, lover of canines, craver of connection, chronic oversharer, and enemy of small talk.” She’s been happily married for 21 years to her husband, with whom she shares a pair of “pre-owned” beagles. Fox has lived many places but is proud to call New Jersey home; she settled in the Tar Heel state in 2004. Most recently, she found a new passion as a storyteller. She’s been honored to perform for the Monti, where she’s won a Story Slam, participated in a Grand Slam, as well as participated in a Moth Story Slam.
