About the event
A one-of-a-kind show that combines storytelling with improv. We invite local celebrities to tell true stories about their lives, careers, families, and so much more. Then our cast takes details from those stories as inspiration for scenes. It’s the perfect combination of truth, heart, and a little mischief.
For even more funny and mischief, stay for the 10pm show - you can buy half-price tickets at the box office!
Rated PG-13

GUEST MONOLOGIST: Amanda Pope
Amanda Pope lives her life by the motto: "To live a life you've never lived, you have to do things you've never done!" And you better believe she's pushing the limits:
An improviser and producer for over 8 years, Amanda launched the improv and storytelling show Capital City Culture Club and led as its executive producer for two years (this is her second to last show with us!). Before the pandemic, she created a Meetup group for women of the Triangle interested in learning about comedy, which grew to over 200 members at the time. Over the years, she's trained at the famous iO Theater in Chicago and her original home theater, ComedyWorx in Raleigh, and performed with several indie house teams. She is currently a member of Rat People and Feeln' Randy.
A powerlifter for 2 years, Amanda somehow found herself in the 800 club and knows the value of sweet gains. Her favorite lift is the deadlift, and Rosie the Riveter comes out when she pulls. She's even competed in two meets in NC and scored a medal in one of them!
A marketing and UX professional for over 10 years, Amanda has traveled to three continents in the last year, leading digital strategy for Duke Corporate Education as the Global Marketing Director. Equal parts creative and analytical, she's a strategist who's always got a fun idea up her sleeve.
Is that enough? Nope! She's currently training for a half marathon and provides career coaching for people looking to level up.
